In the following decade, the range was expanded with battery-powered tools, and a research and development center was also established in Wattwil, Switzerland. Distribution also improved and eventually covered more than 60 countries through a network of specialized dealers. Recent years have been groundbreaking for Kress. In 2017, the brand joined the international giant Positec group. The new capital and improved R&D capabilities meant that Kress went all-in to develop handheld outdoor power equipment. The revolutionary tools were a success with everyone from commercial park and garden workers to private individuals seeking high-quality products. 2023 marks the latest major milestone in the brand's nearly 100-year history. That's when Kress launched the next generation of battery systems. The Kress CyberSystem charges fully in eight minutes, giving it the world's fastest charging times, while the batteries provide higher power and have ten times longer lifespan compared to similar products on the market.
