Vespa Elettrica

The heart of the Vespa Elettrica consists of an electric motor that delivers 3.5kW of continuous power, with a maximum power of up to 4kW, while pushing a torque of a full 200Nm. This means that the Vespa Elettrica offers much more performance than a traditional 50cc scooter.

The Vespa Elettrica has a range of up to 100km on one charge, while the Vespa Elettrica X has a range of up to 50km on battery alone and up to 200km with its range extender activated.

The Vespa Elettrica is equipped with the KERS system, which allows energy to be recovered when decreasing speed. The battery is of the lithium-ion type and does not need to be handled in any special way. To charge the battery, remove the cable from the seat box and plug it into a wall socket or a public charging station. A full charge from 0%-100% takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

The battery does not need to be maintained by its owner. The battery offers exceptional efficiency for up to 1000 full charging cycles, which corresponds to approximately 50,000 km – 70,000 km of driving or 10 years of use in city traffic. After 1000 charging cycles, the battery still has 80% of its maximum capacity and can still be used, with only a slight loss of range.

The throttle is controlled by a Ride-by-Wire system, just like on modern larger motorcycles. On the right side of the handlebar, you can select the driving mode: ECO, Power, or Reverse. In ECO mode, you save battery but your maximum speed is limited to 30km/h. In Reverse mode, you can back up the moped for easier parking and maneuvering. Power mode is the usual driving mode for maximum power and riding pleasure.

The Vespa Elettrica can connect to your mobile phone via the Vespa Multimedia Platform to easily and quickly read information, and also track the moped via GPS. The display is a state-of-the-art 4.3” full-color TFT display, which is very easy to read thanks to its background and color changing depending on the light level outdoors. The system also allows you to, for example, receive calls or play music.

After only 20 minutes of charging, you can drive 20-30 km.
