Kress has been around for almost a century. During that period, we have never manufactured a single internal combustion engine. Something we will never do either. In the coming decade, the product range was expanded with battery-powered tools, and a research and development center was established in Wattwil, Switzerland. Distribution was also improved, eventually covering more than 60 countries through a network of specialized dealers. Recent years have been groundbreaking for Kress. In 2017, the brand joined the international giant Positec Group. The new capital and improved R&D capabilities meant that Kress went all-in to develop handheld outdoor power equipment. The revolutionary tools were a success with everyone from commercial park and garden workers to private individuals seeking high-quality products. The year 2023 is the latest major milestone in the brand's almost 100-year history. That's when Kress launched the next generation of battery systems.
