This, in combination with its waterproof properties, makes the connector both easy to use, as it replaces a damaged section of existing signal cable up to 200mm long, and enables splicing with minimal resistance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition to the insulation provided by the splice connector's double glue rings, heat shrink tubing containing hot melt adhesive is also included, which provides the connection with extra protection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis splice connector requires the use of heat to both melt the solder and to shrink the surrounding insulation.
